A committed and forward-looking hotel
In addition to the well-being of its visitors, Hostellerie Cèdre & Spa Beaune is mobilized on a daily basis to reduce its impact on the environment and preserve the planet. Because sustainable development is at the heart of our preoccupations, we commit ourselves, with each of our teams, to go day after day even further in an approach concerned with the nature which surrounds us.
Among the many CSR practices implemented are the fight against food waste, the use of eco-responsible cleaning products, a policy to reduce the use of plastic and the installation of rainwater collectors for watering green spaces. These actions enabled Hostellerie Cèdre & Spa Beaune to obtain the Clef Verte label in January 2023 and to renew it in January 2024.
Proud of this distinction, which rewards our commitment, we will continue our efforts in 2024 and for as long as necessary to make Hostellerie Cèdre & Spa Beaune an exemplary establishment in terms of respect for the environment.
We pay particular attention to the maintenance of our green spaces and work to protect and develop biodiversity with the installation of birdhouses, an insect hotel and the development of an herb garden. Watering is now provided by a rainwater collector.

Chef Jordan Billan and his brigade make a daily effort to get closer to zero waste in their preparations, and work in partnership with the Too good to go association, which fights against food waste by recovering and distributing unsold produce. All cooking oils are recycled, and the entire team has been trained in the systematic composting of leftover food waste. A biowaste management program has also been set up in partnership with Alfacy. Short supply circuits and sustainable fishing are favored.
In order to reduce energy consumption, Hostellerie Cèdre & Spa Beaune has renewed all air conditioners and replaced hot water tanks. Motion detectors in the common areas and timers were added to the existing centralized energy management system.
While guests are invited not to have their bath linens cleaned daily, the teams in charge of housekeeping are now equipped with an ecological cleaning and disinfection solution using dry steam (Vapodil), replacing conventional cleaning products.
In order to offer its visitors less polluting modes of transport, Hostellerie Cèdre & Spa Beaune has acquired two Moustache electric bicycles, as well as an electric NoSmoke which is available to guests of the Signature Cèdre room. Electric charging stations have also been installed in our parking lot, in collaboration with Porsche.
Always anxious to be more and more responsible in each of our services, the Hostellerie Cèdre & Spa has decided to trust Maison Caulières for its body care products in room and now offers a range of products totally refillable to avoid any plastic pollution.
Used ink cartridges and batteries are collected and entrusted quarterly to our stationery supplier Lyreco, whose services include recycling of its components.
In 2023, as part of our efforts to reduce plastic waste, we are also looking after the well-being of our employees by offering them reusable water bottles.
We also took the initiative of replacing all the windows in our Michelin-starred Clos du Cèdre restaurant with more efficient models, guaranteeing better insulation, significantly reducing heat leakage and optimizing the comfort of our customers and team members.
We are proud to have been awarded the Accueil Vélo label and to be listed on France Vélo Tourisme, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable tourism. We offer a special welcome to cyclists, with adapted infrastructures and dedicated services to ensure their comfort and safety. By supporting soft mobility, we contribute to preserving the environment and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Join us for an authentic, nature-friendly experience.
In 2024, with the support of ADEME, we committed to several investments and were able to envisage new projects such as the purchase of a towel dryer meeting current CSR standards or the construction of a bicycle shelter in our courtyard.
